SingleDose

Espresso · iPhone

You turn the dial.
But which way?

Log what you pulled — grind size, dose in, yield out, brew time. SingleDose tells you how many steps finer or coarser. And why, written out, so that by the next bag you know what went wrong without opening the app.

One shot in, one adjustment out.

Other apps hand you charts and leave the thinking to you. SingleDose names exactly one change — in the units your grinder actually has.

2 steps finer Flow is running at 2.1 g/s — far too fast. The ratio is wide at 1:2.4 and the shot ended at 21 s. Both point the same way.

What the recommendation weighs

No black box. The rule that fired is always shown.

01

Flow rate first

Grams per second is the fastest sign something is off — before the ratio and the timer look wrong.

02

Ratio and brew time

How far the shot drifted from 1:2 and from the 25 to 32 second window — and which of the two is the actual cause.

03

How old the beans are

Days off roast, weighted by roast level. A dark roast degasses faster than a light one, so the correction arrives before your shots run away.

And the rest

04

Bluetooth scale

The app notices when flow starts, times the shot and fills in yield and brew time itself. Supported today: the Bookoo Mini. Without a scale everything works the same — four numbers by hand.

05

Logbook

Every combination of grinder, bean and brew method keeps its own grind setting. Come back next week and the number is still there.

06

Set up in a minute

The first launch asks for your grinder and your beans, and ends on a starting grind setting — before you pull anything.
